How booking works
Choose your dates, pick a room type and confirm. Dorm beds are booked per bed, so a solo traveller pays for one bed rather than a whole room. Rooms and garden tents are booked per unit. Rates move with the season and step up over the December festive period, so the calendar is the authority rather than any figure quoted elsewhere.

Planning a festive-season stay
December is the busiest month in Wilderness by a wide margin, and the dorms and en-suite rooms go first. If you are travelling between mid-December and early January, book as far ahead as you reasonably can. Our guide to Wilderness in summer covers what else books out over that period.

How do I book a room at Beach House Wilderness?
Use the live booking calendar on this page. Pick your dates, choose a room type and confirm. Dorm beds are booked per bed and rooms and tents are booked per unit. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Deposit and payment terms are confirmed as part of the booking process, because they depend on the room type and the time of year. The booking system will show you exactly what is required before you commit to anything. If you have a specific question about payment, message us on WhatsApp before you book rather than after.
Can I book a single bed rather than a whole room?
Yes. Both mixed dorms are booked per bed, so solo travellers pay for one bed and not for a whole room. Dorm beds start from R380 per bed per night outside peak season. If you want privacy without the cost of an en-suite, the private rooms with shared bathrooms start from R850.
How far in advance should I book?
For December and early January, as far ahead as you can manage: Wilderness fills up over the festive season and the dorms and en-suite rooms go first. For the rest of the year a week or two is usually enough, though weekends with live music can be busy. If you are travelling at short notice, message us and we will tell you honestly what is left.
